An astonishing letter has come to light in which the company appointed to map out the NA3 planning disaster have threatened Teignbridge DC with legal action. The threats warn the council not to slip in amendments to the plans for building 1500 houses on the Wolborough Hills.
Exeter-based PCL, an appalling coven of planning shysters up to their necks in piss-poor housing projects across the South West, are enraged at an attempt by Teignbridge District Council to introduce 'variances' into the plan. Exactly what these variances are we cannot possibly know. It appears that PCL were put onto the project by farmer Anthony Rew.
TDC does not observe the tenets of transparent government. The letter was supposed to be in the public doman THREE WEEKS ago but 'got lost over Christmas' according to Council officer Fergus Pate, to whom it is addressed. All we know is that the attempted changes pertain to the position and environs of the Grade 1 listed church of St Mary the Virgin.
This threat shows what bullying pricks we're dealing with at PCL, as well as what a bumbling, stumbling mess our pathetic council is. It tried to amend a plan it knew could not satisfy the legal consitions, to be warned that any variance would make it legally vulnerable. So it seems that neither the current plan, nor the new plan, are defensible.
Keep fighting; the cracks are spreading.
